14 DAY TRIAL // For all its many peripherals, game-oriented or otherwise, Roccat doesn't have any mechanical keyboards on sale. Or at least didn't have one up for order until now, with the release of the Ryos series.
That much the company says in its own announcement. Apparently, Roccat wanted to make sure its mechanical keyboards could contend with the best competitors out there before launching them.
There are three Ryos series models: Ryos MK, Ryos MK Glow and Ryos MK Pro.
"PC gamers all over the world have been wishing for ROCCAT to come up with a mechanical keyboard - and finally here it is" says René Korte, ROCCAT founder and CEO.
"Congratulations to everyone who has been waiting patiently, you are now able to get the most advanced mechanical keyboard on the market".
All the new Ryos keyboard possess per-key illumination (except the MK apparently), high quality Cherry MX switches and Easy-Shift[+], ROCCAT Talk.
Ryos MK has black Cherry MX switches, a 32-bit ARM Cortex processor, 2 MB flash memory (500 macros can be stored), three thumbster keys. It's made for hardcore gamers.
Ryos MK Glow has a blue backlight (one LED for each key) and adjustable intensity via driver. It's made for gamers that want their keyboards to look good.
As for the Ryos MK Pro, it has a second ARM Cortex processor for handling the product's configurable per-key illumination. Something no other keyboards have.
Ryos MK has a price of $99.99 / €99.99, Ryos MK Glow $139.99 / €139.99, and Ryos MK Pro $169.99 / €169.99. The Pro will only come out in November, in black, brown, blue and red switch colors, and with a USB 2.0 hub and pass-through audio jacks.
