Robert Pattinson fans have more surprises waiting for them in November than just the release of the second “Twilight” film, “New Moon.” Customers in the US and the UK will also get, roughly on the same date with the vampire flick, a brand-new documentary on the whole Pattinson phenomenon, aptly called “Robsessed,” Screen Daily reports.

Revolver, which also holds the rights for the 2006 drama “Haunted Airmen” that also stars the British heartthrob, has secured distribution rights for both the US and the UK for the documentary detailing the rise to fame of one of the most wanted actors at the moment. “Robsessed” is meant to show the exact extent of the Pattinson frenzy that is currently sweeping over the entire world, where it stemmed from and how it has affected the young, British actor.

“Revolver is currently at Mipcom in France selling the film to broadcasters and home entertainment companies. It intends to release the DVD in the US and UK in November to coincide with the release of New Moon, the second film in the Twilight franchise. The documentary looks at the teenage phenomenon known as being ‘Rob-sessed’ and Pattinson’s rise to one of the most sought-after young actors after winning over fans and critics with his performance in ‘Twilight,’ based on the Stephanie Meyer novels.” Screen Daily says of the upcoming release.

And this is not where surprises end for true Robert fans either, the same publication says, as Revolver is also preparing a special box-set release for later on, which will include the documentary and other yet-unrevealed goodies. Said box-set will drop with “Haunted Airmen,” the drama that Pattinson did in 2006. However, until then, the entire fan community has its eyes set on “Robsessed,” which will accompany “New Moon” upon release in British and American theaters.

“Teenagers just can’t get enough of Robert Pattinson and this broadcast quality biography is guaranteed to deliver whether on TV or home entertainment.” Justin Marciano, chief executive of Revolver, says for Screen Daily. The documentary will initially be a straight-to-DVD release.
