"God creates dinosaurs. God destroys dinosaurs. God creates man. Man destroys God. Man creates dinosaurs... ". First of all, the Roboraptor is not a toy. It's the plastic proof that technology and personality can nicely mix. The robotic dinosaur features realistic biometric motions, direct control and autonomous mode.

The man behind the robot idea is Mark Tilden.
A while ago, he admitted that Roboraptor is: "the first toy robot designed to scare the crap out of your cat." Afterwards, Wowee went cuddly and launched the Robopet, though a bit retarded if we were to compare it to Sony's Aibo.

The robotic creature comes packed with a fluid bi-pedal motion, which allows it to walk, run and scare the hell out of your cat, dog, or else. The artist part of this robotic creation is mainly its realistic body movements, it can turn its head and neck and it can even whip its tail, just like we saw them doing in Jurassic Park.

Besides its ferocious looks, the robot reveals a mood dependent behavior. It can be aggressive in hunting mood, nervous when in cautious mood and very friendly in its playful mood. All its moods are ingeniously customized with a series of cool visual and sonic guard mode.

The robot is a multi-sensory machine, full of touch-sensory points. In addition, it comes equipped with a powerful infra-red vision system, capable of detecting objects in its path, or approaching objects. It has an integrated auto shut-off function and works with 6 AA or 3 AAA batteries. Not to mention the bot's price tag is also quite convenient: 100 bucks.

And if you have a Robosapien V2, even better. This dino here responds to its commands. It also provides some cool video game style controller and 40 pre-programmed functions. Be careful! Its jaws can really bite you. Good for thieves!
