He told Capello he's ready to gain a starting position in the squad

Not a very long time ago, Real Madrid's Robinho began bragging in the international media about him being better than Ronaldo inside Brazil's national team. After the "Cariocas" failed to make a good impression in the World Cup this summer, the little winger almost ordered Coach Carlos Alberto Parreira to start him in the squad, alongside Adriano.

Often enough, history has the tendency to repeat itself. Less than 3 months after the World Cup, Robinho tells
Capello, through the Spanish media, that he deserves to start for Real Madrid at any game. Although the Brazilian admitted that picking up the first "11" for each game is no easy job, he told "Marca" that he's in perfect shape for a starter.

"I intend to show my true qualities in each practice session and give it my all for the team. I admit I still have to better my performances on the pitch, but I think I have all characteristics to become a starter for the team".

"We have plenty of good-to-great players in the squad and all of them try to give their best in practice. Still, it's the coach to decide which one will start in the next clash. All of them want to play but only a few get the chance to start from the first minute of each game. I think I am ready to be one of those guys", said Robinho.

He also referred to Real Madrid's game in the "Fabio Capello era": "I think we need to better out game each match. We proved that we have the ability to score goals and we need to play good the first half. We always started pretty bad, but managed to overcome the difficulties in the second half. What's important is that we manage to get the wins in the end".

Real Madrid lost their Champions League opener 2-0 to Lyon and are 2 points behind Barcelona in the Spanish League standings after 3 rounds.
