Yesterday we found out that singer Robin Thicke, the author of last year's infectious dance song “Blurred Lines,” was putting his house up for sale and we took that as a sign that the divorce from estranged wife Paula Patton, announced back in spring, had finally gone through.

Today, it looks like our speculations were right on track, since, according to TMZ, Robin is already complaining to his friends that his divorce is final and his marriage to actress Paula Patton is over. The announcement comes six months after the pair gave an official statement saying they were terminating their marriage due to differences.

However, during those six months, Paula seemed reluctant to cut the umbilical cord and this gave Robin enough reason to try his hardest to win her back. He then launched himself into a virtual campaign of “I want Paula back,” serenading her during his performances, crying on stage and even naming his latest album after her.

Paula wasn't that impressed, and neither was the public for that matter, since Thicke's “Paula” album sold a disappointing 530 copies during its first week, despite songs such as “Get Her Back” being played on the radio constantly.

The singer-actor couple have been married for 9 years, but they have been together for longer than that, close to 20 years in fact, since they have been sweethearts since high school.

But that didn't stop Robin from getting frisky with a female fan when he grabbed her behind. A photo of the moment was later leaked online, showing the singer in the act, seemingly unaware of the fact that there was a big mirror behind him, giving away his philandering ways.

Many say that the final nail in the coffin was Robin's performance at the 2014 VMA Awards, where he did a mash-up with twerk princess Miley Cyrus, who, in her usual nasty way, didn't hesitate to dance lewdly on a married man and even grab his crotch on stage, in front of millions of viewers. Understandably, Paula didn't appreciate that type of artistic expression.

Now, the gossip around town is that the couple has a lawyer working on a financial agreement, but the good news is that neither of them seems to have hired a divorce lawyer. Thicke has reportedly refused to file for divorce, letting Paula initiate the proceedings.

These days, he's also telling all of his friends that he's done begging and that since there has been no result to his campaign, he is now looking to the future and is ready to move on. We give him about one month until he's spotted with a new lady on his arm.
