With just two weeks to go until the third and latest installment in “The Twilight Saga,” “Eclipse,” drops, it’s no wonder the biggest recent event in cinematography (as regards coverage and popularity at least) was the Twilight Convention in Los Angeles. Jenna Bush Hager of The Today Show caught up with main star Robert Pattinson shortly after the convention wrapped and, as E! News can confirm, got to ask him some very personal questions.

After the madness of facing the thousands of fans gathered in the hope of at least seeing their idol in the flesh, Pattinson plays it cool: of course he could handle the fan frenzy without a bodyguard and his entourage. Then, on second thought, he may as well hope he’ll never have to find that out on his own. Things have changed dramatically for the British actor since he appeared in the first film in the series, and not all has been for the better, he says.

“Finding someone to go out with Robert Pattinson? Mmm, probably not much of a problem (Hi Kristen Stewart!). Actually being able to take that person out? A bit more challenging given, you know, some strange pop culture phenomenon going on right now that causes the paparazzi to track his every move. ‘I would like to go on a date,’ Robert told Jenna Bush Hager on the Today show Monday morning. ‘I’m just saying. I’m just putting that out there. Because I never go on dates anymore’,” E! writes citing the star.

“Of course, the inevitable attention R.Pattz will get while filming the now two-part Breaking Dawn movies won’t really help his social life either, and may even force him to take drastic measures… ‘The last time, when we were shooting Eclipse in Vancouver, the entire paparazzi population of LA came up and just camped outside the hotel,’ he said. ‘So, if it’s in Vancouver, I’ll probably end up getting cabin fever and end up jumping off the balcony.’ Then again, he could simply just deal with it the way K.Stew does,” the same media outlet further says.

The way K.Stew (Kristen Stewart) handles attention has often been described in the media as snotty at best and downright obnoxious at worst, for she seems to care too little about what others may think of her, especially when she’s on her own spare time. Pattinson, on the other hand, has always professed to be the most affected by the fame game of all the other “Twilight” stars. Check out the video below for more on Robert and some bits and pieces of what one can expect from the film, including how jealous Pattinson is that Taylor Lautner has better hair and better abs than he does.
