One of the things the millions of female fans from around the world love about Robert Pattinson is his hair, which he has always styled in a very careless manner, as if he hardly bothered about it – which is probably the case too most of the time. Recently, the British actor was spotted with what looked like a buzz cut. On Ellen DeGeneres, Robert explained the change in look by a bad case of head lice,
E! Online informs.
Pattinson is currently promoting the latest installment in “The Twilight Saga,” “Eclipse,” which comes out in theaters at the end of next month. After appearing with his co-stars, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner on an Oprah special, the brooding heartthrob agreed to do Ellen. The interview, judging by the excerpts that have already surfaced online, promises to be a very funny one.
“If only Twilight’s Edward Cullen were as funny as this nit wit. Robert Pattinson appears on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show Wednesday, and the actor discusses one of the important issues of the day: namely, that brand-new haircut. ‘I got a terrible infestation of nits and I had to shave it all off,’ joked Pattinson before revealing his chopped off his locks three days ago for his role in Water for Elephants with Reese Witherspoon. And then after a brief digression into the world of nits, gnats and lice, the actor had something else to reveal...” E! writes.
Said revelation had to do with Robert’s shyness and his hatred of being caught in the spotlight. “‘I just like doing things where you have a little time to think about what you’re saying. I’ve always had a problem actually thinking before I open my mouth,’ said Pattison. ‘Yeah, being spontaneous or just thinking. I have a problem with thinking.’ ‘Just thinking, period?’ asked Ellen. ‘Thinking in real time,’ clarified Pattinson, somewhat proving his point,” the same e-zine writes.
Of course, Pattinson was joking on both counts: he did not have head lice and he’s not slow or anything like that, as he’s proven on many of his interviews in the past. On the other hand, he’s also speaking the truth because, as fans must know, he is truly shy and would rather just go away than have to speak of himself in public.
