He was just “weeks away from proposing,” a new report from the British tabloids, cited by Hollywood Life, indicates.
Sources reveal that Rob was really into Kristen and, it would seem, had even decided that she was “the one” for him.
He wanted to propose to Kristen and, just as the incriminating photos emerged online and she was forced to issue an apology, was actually thinking about how he might surprise her with an engagement ring.
“Robert hoped to marry Kristen and was making preparations to spring a proposal before she admitted cheating,” an inside source reveals.
“He had bought the house in Los Angeles to be their home and saw them staying there for a long time,” the same tipster reveals.
As we also noted at the time, after the scandal erupted, Kristen issued a statement to say she apologized to Rob, whom she loved and respected more than anything in the world.
Her lover, Sanders, did the same, saying his wife Liberty Ross and their two children were his most valued possessions in life.
Robert, on the other hand, kept his silence.
Nevertheless, shortly after the scandal broke, sources were telling the US glossies that he was beyond shocked, disappointed and heartbroken, having decided to move out of the house he shared with Kristen to think things through and have some time alone.
All signs seemed to point to his decision to end things with Kristen. TMZ notes that this might actually be the case: they have pictures of moving trucks leaving the property, and sources that confirm that Robert is really gone.
