14 DAY TRIAL // Even though he usually steers clear from endorsement deals because that would imply spending more time with the media, Robert Pattinson has signed a new deal with Dior, thus becoming the face of the brand.
Nothing is confirmed at this point, but E! News notes it has it on excellent authority that the actor is “in.” Moreover, it also has intel regarding the kind of money Rob stands to make from the partnership.
“Smell you, Robert Pattinson! [T]he Twilight star has signed a mega-deal with Christian Dior. Pattinson will star in a series of ad campaigns for the French fashion house’s line of men’s fragrances,” E! gushes.
The endorsement deal is for 3 years and will make Pattinson $12 million (€9.2 million) richer, the report goes on to say.
Apparently, the decision to become the face of Dior wasn’t even a difficult one. “Rob likes the brand,” an insider says.
“R.Pattz is no stranger to Dior. He’s hit the red carpet in several different Dior Homme looks, including a tuxedo at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and jeans at the Teen Choice Awards,” E! writes.
Ironically, back in 2009, there were countless rumors about the handsome actor’s poor hygiene, with various insiders telling the mags that he was a “stinker” who never showered (let alone use deodorant) and who was very hard to work with for this reason alone.
As was to be expected, Pattinson denied the rumors initially, noting how ridiculous sometimes these magazine stories about him could be – but he still read them all just to keep informed, he said.
In a later interview, though, Robert admitted that there were SOME things about personal hygiene that he simply could not understand and, consequently, do.
One of them would be washing his hair.
“I don’t really see the point in washing your hair. If you don’t care if your hair’s clean or not then why would you wash it? It’s like, I don’t clean my apartment ‘cause I don’t care. I have my apartment for sleeping in and I have my hair for just, you know, hanging out on my head. I don’t care if it’s clean or not,” he said, as we also informed you.
