When rumor broke that Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner were “fighting” on the set of “New Moon,” the tension was attributed to the fact that Edward would be absent most of the film, whereas Jacob would get plenty more onscreen time. Coming to refute the report, but also to offer fans just a taste of what’s coming to them in November, Robert Pattinson is telling ET (via ICYDK) that they will be seeing plenty of gorgeous vampire Edward.

Being a part of the “Twilight Saga” has changed Robert’s life in ways he could have never imagined, the actor reveals in a much-anticipated interview. He is now more aware of what he does and who he sees, because he knows for certain that it will make headlines the following days. Yet, he is more than thrilled to have been picked for the part of Edward, as he also is for reprising it in “New Moon.”

Speaking of which, the 22-year-old actor also sheds some light on what goes on on the closed “New Moon” set, by revealing a detail that will certainly make fans worldwide happy: Edward will appear in the film just like he would if he were there with Bella. This will be possible because the movie will include him physically, as opposed to a voiceover, as it happens in the book, Robert explains.

“It’s as close as possible to the book. [In the film] it’s an illusion when he appears. I think if you do it with voiceover as they do in the book, it would end up being quite cheesy. But it’s very subtle, my presence. It’s actually quite scary because Bella is kind of going a little bit nuts. I was worried about having too much presence because you really need that relationship with Jacob to drive to the third and fourth books. You really need that triangle.” Pattinson adds.

“I’m not stressed at all on this job, so it’s kind of a nice feeling. Since the film was a success so you get a little more free reign and people are more trusting.” Robert also tells about what it’s like to return to the big screen as Edward. However, it is precisely this part that has changed his life for good – not that he would ever come to regret it, though. “I’m always really worried about ruining their lives. Especially with people that aren’t famous. It’s such a massive change. I’m kind of a paranoid wreck. I’ve eaten a lot of room service.” the handsome actor explains about how being a superstar has altered his relationships.

The same ET interview, scheduled to air tomorrow, also includes discussions with stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Keep an eye on this space for more on this.
