It's the old case of “bitting off the hand that feeds you,” as actor Robert Pattison claims that there is no chance he'll ever do another “Twilight” movie. As fans from across the world are currently shouting at the computer screen in anger right now after reading that sentence, more serious movie goers will crack a smile.

The actor, who not only earned a lot of fame but also a lot of money from the young-adult franchise in the role of vampire Edward Cullen, has spoken out of his legacy he's keen to shed at the Cannes Film Festival, where he's currently promoting two films, “The Rover” and “Maps to the Stars.”

The actor said, according to Variety, that “I couldn't do another Twilight movie, I'm too old.” For the record, Robert is 28 years old and apparently he's looking for more serious project, on a small budget if possible, as they seem closer to his heart at the moment.

Though he won't be part of the saga again, Robert can't hide his amazement that the movies did so well at the box office. “No one thought it was going to be a big deal, We thought it was going to be like Thirteen,” he said, referring to Catherine Hardwicke's 2003 directorial debut, starring Nikki Reed and Evan Rachel Wood.
