Last night, it finally happened. Robert Pattinson made his first on-screen appearance after Kristen Stewart's cheating on him with movie director Rupert Sanders placed him under a not-so-inviting spotlight.
In spite of the fact that Robert Pattinson supposedly agreed to sit for an interview with 'The Daily Show' only to promote his latest movie, 'Cosmopolis', the show's host, Jon Stewart, simply couldn't miss the opportunity to “derail” the conversation and ask Robert some questions which had more to so with his personal life than with his career as an actor.
“ So, what have you been up to?” “So what are we doing here? I'm worried about you. Are you alright?” “We're just a couple of gals talking,” were just some of Jon Stewart's attempts to get Robert to open up and spill the beans.
Still, like a true gentleman, Pattison keeps his silence on this topic and simply tries to defuse the tension by playing with his ice-cream or going on and on about how he needs to hire a publicist to help him avoid such awkward conversations in the future, reports

“I thought we'd already prepared this. I had a joke prepared! I was all set up and ready to go. Now it's meaningless,” said the actor when Jon Stewart threw away the interview's script and started asking those very personal questions.
“I didn't hire a publicist and every awkward interview, most actors have things scripted. I'm going to hire a publicist,” he further added.
Naturally, his refusing to leash out on Kristen Stewart and her affair now has people wondering whether or not it is possible that the two might still have something going on between them.
With Robert's continuing to display mixed emotions, there really is no telling if this relationship is over or still hanging on by a thread.
From where we stand, Robert has yet to decide if its best to take Jon Stewart's advice and “kick her [Kristen] to the curb.”
