14 DAY TRIAL // Since there's no bigger and splashier way to advertise a movie than by tying it to “The Twilight Saga” juggernaut, here are the first shots from David Cronenberg's “Cosmopolis,” starring Robert Pattinson.
Though not much is known about the film right now (in the sense that it doesn't even have an estimated release date), promotion for it is already underway, with these new shots coming out in print in Marina magazine.
They show Pattinson as the 24-year-old millionaire who is about to embark on the ride of his life, that will last no more than a night in Manhattan, and Sarah Gadon, who plays his wife.
The film also stars Kevin Durand, Jay Baruchel, Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche and Paul Giamatti, and is directed by Cronenberg on his own script, based on the novel of Don DeLillo.
It is believed that “Cosmopolis” will premiere either at the Cannes Film Festival or at the Toronto Festival in 2012, and only later reach out to audiences worldwide.
