However, this is not just any locket: it’s an antique piece estimated at $40,000 that comes with a customized message from Robert himself.
The gift is a “$40,000 antique gold and platinum locket with photos of them inside and a personalized lovey-dovey inscription,” the aforementioned e-zine writes.
The inscription in question is a quote in Latin, chosen by Pattinson to tell Kristen how he feels about her even when he’s not there with her.
“Even if you can’t see me, my love for you is always there,” reads the inscription, as per the same media outlet.
“She was really touched – it was so incredibly sweet,” a source says of Kristen’s reaction when presented with the gift, which was Robert’s way of telling her that he’d always be there for her, no matter the distance separating them.
Speaking of distances, it would seem that the actress is having a hard time being away from her boyfriend for such extended periods of time.
“She’s been in tears, saying she can’t face being away from Rob for too long and that it physically hurts her,” the insider says.
Clearly, they’d been accustomed to being together more, since they worked on the “Twilight” movies for years – but now, they are both trying to launch their careers in Hollywood and prove they’re dedicated thespians.
Naturally, this also means choosing projects that shoot in different parts of the world.
