At the same time, Robert Pattinson fans also have reasons to be somewhat upset, as celebrity bloggers are targeting the actor again for his habit of (almost) always posing with a cigarette.
Perez Hilton, one of the most popular celebrity bloggers at this moment (and almost an A-lister himself, it has been said), is also the first to point the finger at the actor’s “dirty” habit. That 22-year-old Pattinson is a smoker is no longer an unknown fact, since this is not the first time that he makes the headlines on account of it. However, this doesn’t mean that he should always be posing with a cigarette, thus glamorizing the act of smoking itself, Perez says.
The blogger believes – and makes it pretty clear for everyone else too – that, while the most recent spread with the British star is absolutely beautiful in its simplicity and because of Robert himself, the fact that it includes no less than two shots with him smoking makes it “gross.” Robert Pattinson himself is “gross” for smoking, Perez further adds – and he’s not the only one to believe so either, since some celebrity magazines also agree that he should not pose smoking. There is, however, no question that he can do so in his spare time if he so desires.
As noted above, this is not the first time that Pattinson, who plays the gorgeous vampire Edward in the hit movie, comes under fire for his habit. Less than a month ago, when the first paparazzi photos from the “New Moon” set surfaced on the Internet, showing both Robert and Kristen Stewart puffing on their cigarettes during breaks, many questioned the kind of example that the two were setting for “Twilight” fans. The fact that the film had mainly a teen following seemed to weigh very heavy in the balance when it came to criticizing the two actors for smoking.
