14 DAY TRIAL // Though she broke her boyfriend’s heart by cheating on him with a married man and then being shamed publicly in leaked paparazzi shots, Kristen Stewart has managed to convince Robert Pattinson to get together to see whether there was still hope for them as a couple.
Reports in the British press cited by the Daily Mail note that Kristen has been pleading with Robert for a meeting ever since the scandal began. She’s finally gotten him to agree to it.
Part of the reason Pattinson accepted is seeing how the world reacted to the scandal, with many fans turning on her as if she were the villain of the story. Their behavior broke Robert’s heart anew, insiders claim.
“She begged to meet face to face so they could talk. It was obvious Kristen was getting through to Rob and he has agreed to see her,” one such spy says, as cited by the Mail.
“In fact, he admitted that it must be worse for her because she’s not just dealing with heartbreak, but being portrayed as a villain, while he gets all the sympathy,” the source further says.
“For the first couple of weeks he was wallowing in his own grief, but being forced to face people during this promo, and seeing how angry everyone is with Kristen, made him feel sad for her,” the spy explains.
For the time being, the two have not agreed on anything else but the fact that a meeting will take place: they’re still to set a date and a location.
However, Robert is determined that they should not meet in a very public place, because he – understandably – wants no eyewitnesses to what could prove a very emotional moment for both.
He’s also thinking about the consequences of such a meeting, fully aware that he will be tempted to reconcile with Kristen. Should that turn out to be the case, he’s thinking of setting some new ground rules, insiders allege.
“Even if Rob does take her back, he has some ground rules that he would like her to follow such as spending time together between film projects like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie do. He would also expect her to spend more time in his hometown of London instead of Los Angeles,” the Mail writes.
Fans will know that Robert and Kristen started dating on the set of the first “Twilight” movies. As of now, their relationship is “undefined.”
