14 DAY TRIAL // Rumors about Robert Pattinson romancing – or possibly the contrary, breaking it off – with co-star Kristen Stewart have been around ever since “Twilight” came out, and will probably still stand after the “New Moon” is over with. For the record, they have never been substantiated in any way, save for tabloid reports and revealing stories coming from anonymous “insiders.” Robert Pattinson is speaking out for the first time regarding them, to admit to having a crush on his co-star, The Deadbolt News informs.
As a matter of fact, the British actor, who plays the handsome and endearing vampire Edward in “The Twilight Saga,” admits to having a crush on more than just one female lead, since he also had a thing for Emma Watson while shooting together for “Harry Potter,” yet another box-office hit. Still, fans of “Twilight” who believe or want Pattinson and Stewart to be together at least know now that the spark they think they saw both off screen and in front of the camera really does exist.
“I definitely had a thing with Kristen. Your first impulse is to ask her for her phone number.” Robert tells Bop magazine, as cited by The Deadbolt News. He does not go any further into details, but he does say that the same happened with Emma Watson as well, whom Pattinson describes as intimidating, but cool. “She is really, really cool. She seems so much older than she really is. I find her quite intimidating. I always find myself trying to impress her. She’s very, very clever.” the actor reveals.
While these statements could amount to nothing more than a sense of admiration and respect between mates, they can certainly be seen as standing in lieu of some sort of confirmation for the much-debated affair, in the sense that the “spark” was there, it is being said. Still, Pattinson might still not be dating Stewart and fans of the film who feel their experience is ruined by all the gossip should pay no attention to it, as Pattinson himself said a while back.
“It becomes a joke. There was some magazine the other day about me and Kristen and when you look at it and realize it’s on the front of a magazine... You realize that people are actually reading that even though how ridiculous it is. It’s really bizarre.” Pattinson was saying back in April, after rumors emerged he and Stewart had been seen around town, in Vancouver, holding hands and acting very couple-like. In the same interview, the actor also revealed he had become a “paranoid wreck” for fear his popularity and the interest the media was showing in his personal life would ruin his relationship with people who did not care to be in the spotlight, his best friends.
