Robert Downey Jr. is now promoting his latest movie, “Iron Man 3,” which means this is the perfect moment to be asking him questions about other projects he might be working on. This is what Italian journalists did, learning his choice for a director on “Pinocchio.”

Buzz around “Pinocchio” started to pick up early last year, when RDJ and Tim Burton (of course!) were first linked to it, but it’s been around for much longer than that, over at Warner Bros.

Now, RDJ is saying that he’d want Ben Stiller to direct it.

“I want to make Pinocchio as a live action film and not resorting to animation,” he says. The quote is a rough translation from Italian.

“I would like to make it with Ben Stiller, who sounds like the perfect choice to get into the story. Then, considering where it was written, I'd like it to be shot as much as possible in Italy, which I also think would be a matter of consistency,” he adds.
