The maid accused of stealing expensive items from celebrities, pleaded Friday not guilty. Lucyna Turyk-Wawrynowicz, 35, who used to work for Robert De Niro, Candice Bergen and daughter-in-law of Nelson Rockefeller, remained silent as her lawyer entered the plea in State Supreme Court in Manhattan.
Turyk-Wawrynowicz is accused of stealing a pair of diamond earrings, estimated at $95,000, a $1,000 pair of shoes and $500 belt belonging to Robert De Niro's wife, Grace Hightower.
Lucyna will also have to face charges for stealing a credit card and using it for 16 times at Barney's department store in March 2001. She stole thousands of dollars in property from Bergen between July 2002 and April 2003, according to the indictment.
The maid is also accused of stealing jewelry -- worth several thousand dollars -- from Renee Rockefeller, the New York socialite and wife of Mark Rockefeller, in December 2003.
Turyk-Wawrynowicz, arrested last month, remained jailed in lieu of $75,000 cash bail.
