"Gunpowder, Treason and Plot" star Robert Carlyle, 44, will star in 20th Century Fox's Eragon, based on the Christopher Paolini-penned bestselling fantasy novel.
The famous British actor will play the villain Durza in the movie, in which he co-stars with John Malkovich, Jeremy Irons and Djimon Hounsou.

The film, which revolves around a farm boy who learns he is the last of a breed of benevolent Dragon Riders, whose magical powers derived from their bond with the beasts, will hit theatres next summer.
