When Take That came back on the music scene in the 4-member format, the ancient rivalry between the boys and estranged member Robbie Williams seemed to reach a new intensity, especially since the band proved more popular than what the latter put out as a solo artist. Now, Williams’ manager is saying that a reunion could be in the works, since the five have made their peace with each other at last.

Speaking with the British The Sun, Tim Clark, Robbie’s manager, has revealed that the artist has no plans about releasing other albums once his agreement for two CDs with EMI expires. Moreover, Clark has hinted at a possible reunion of the five guys who wrote bandboy history, in the near future, but has left out any specifics as to whether this will extend for more than just a show.

“They are all great friends again. Whether Robbie pops up at Wembley Stadium is up to him.” Clark has told The Sun, speaking of the band’s upcoming shows. Instead of settling the issue, this has done nothing but add more fuel to the fire, as NME points out. Rumors of a reunion, prompted by Take That’s success as opposed to the lukewarm reception Robbie got for his latest materials, have been making the rounds for quite some time. Now, it seems, they are one step closer to becoming real.

Just last month, for instance, Robbie told the media that he would positively “love” to go back to Take That, while Gary Barlow said that it was only “a matter of time” before a reunion took place. Of course, whether this reunion would consist only of a surprise appearance on behalf of Robbie during a Take That gig, or whether it will go beyond that to a full-time membership is still to be determined.

The upcoming Take That shows will take place on 1, 3, 4 and 5 at the London Wembley Stadium. Also then fans will probably find out whether there is any foundation to the reunion rumors.
