Although Robbie Williams was utterly defeated at last week's Brit Awards, where he was nominated for one category (Best Live Act) and won nothing, the guys from Take That have not completely forgotten him. Of course, when they picked up the award for Best Single ('Patience', from their comeback album 'Beautiful World'), the thought of saying a few words about their former mate totally slipped their minds, but that's a different story...
On his 33rd birthday, the 'Angels' singer checked into a rehabilitation clinic in the US, for treatment for his addiction to sleeping pills and painkillers. The cause for which he relapsed into the addiction is supposed to be the fact that his latest album 'Rudebox' proved to be a hard sell, despite its many artistic accomplishments. On the other hand, the reformed and more mature Take That have released a brand new album that secured them the number one position in the UK charts and many said that this, too, was reason enough to send Robbie off.
The British media openly criticized the guys from Take That for not remembering to shout out Robbie's name during their acceptance speech. However, they justified their 'oversight' by saying that his rehab stint is something too personal to be talked about during such a public event.

We know someone who has had a change of heart! Mark Owen, the former cutest member of the boyband sensation has decided to make public his true feelings about Robbie. Precisely one week after Williams went into the clinic for the standard 30-day program, Owen gives a very 'candid' interview to 'Reveal' magazine, in which he vouches that he would go to the world's end to help his former mate.
'Me and Rob went through a period when we didn't speak, but then he got in touch. Rob was always my mate. I'm so worried about him. When I heard about him checking into rehab I felt sad. I just want him to be happy again. I'll do anything I can to help him. If he wants me to see him, I'll be straight on that plane. I'm gutted and devastated things have ended up like this. I think he should come back to the UK.', Mark said in the interview.
While no one can possibly explain what took him so long to realize how he really felt about Robbie and to offer him a hand in the difficult recovery, there is only one thing in which he is completely right: Liam Gallagher is an ass for making fun of Robbie and his issues in front of the cameras. 'I felt bad at the Brits because there were some jokes said about Robbie that made it look like he was being mocked', Owen explained, referring to the many 'f**k'-filled interview Gallagher gave to the media on Williams' expense.
