Robbie Williams could have really embarrassed himself during a concert over the weekend, when he forgot the lyrics to his own song during a charity concert. Luckily, he played it cool and saved face.

The Daily Mail informs – and the first of the two videos embedded below confirms – that the singer set out to perform his hit “Feel” when he suddenly realized he needed some help with the words.

After asking the audience to sing along if they knew the words, Robbie found himself in quite a tight spot when he had to turn his back on the crowd to go and have a look at a lyric book.

When he saw he couldn’t find what he needed in due time, he asked for fans’ help, which they eagerly provided, thus helping him get back on track with only a minor glitch.

“The singer was forced to break off during his performance of Feel to check the lyrics. An energetic Robbie stopped singing halfway through a line, half-mumbled the tune, then ran to the back of the stage to flick through a lyric book as 60,000 fans waited,” the Mail writes.

As per the same publication, the fact that Robbie has been away from the stage and out of the spotlight for such a long time could have had a hand in his stumble mid-song.

“They shouted out the words, as Robbie returned to the front and laughed: ‘I scared myself to death, thankyou.’ He then carried on with the show,” the Mail writes.

The tab also says that Robbie’s fans saw the incident with very kind eyes, even taking to Twitter after the concert to praise him for how wonderfully he handled it.

“I love how Robbie Williams forgot his own words. He styled it out well though!” one fan tweets. Many others agree, saying similar things.

After the hiccup, Robbie had no other problems. At one point, he invited Take That member Gary Barlow on stage and they performed their new duet, “Shame.”

Robbie called recording the new song and having the opportunity of performing it with Gary live the “highlight of [my] career,” especially since it comes 15 years after their bitter split, and long and public spats.

Below is Robbie Williams live at the Hope For Heroes concert. Enjoy.
