In the concert he held in Newcastle last month, Robbie Williams seemed very much “en form” and performed for audiences with the energy of a much younger man. Sadly for him and for at least one person sitting in the front row at his concert, that energy was so intense that it drove him off the stage and onto one woman's arm, subsequently breaking it.

The Mirror reports that a woman by the name of Margaret Nash, aged 52, was forced to spend the night in the hospital after the former Take That singer tumbled over her in the middle of his performance when he lost his footing while running off a walkway and landed in the crowds.

A video shot by someone in the audience shows the singer at the precise moment he took a dive from the narrow walkway, and it looks as though he was trying to high five some fans at the moment he misstepped and disappeared briefly off the stage.

Margaret was forced to spend the night in the hospital because of her injuries, and it's said that she missed the rest of the show after medics from the Swings Both Ways concert decided that she needed proper attention for her injury.

A friend of the victim is quoted as saying that “She’s still in a lot of pain. She was devastated to miss the show,” indicating that she was more gutted to miss out on the performance rather than on the broken arm.

After it was revealed that Robbie's inadvertent fall caused Margaret to be injured, the production team for the event contacted Margaret, presumably to offer to make things right. Metro Radio Arena General Manager Paul Tattenden went on the record to say, “We attended to the lady after she said she had pain in her arm. We were later told she had broken it. We got in touch with Robbie’s production company and they have been in touch with the lady.”

One month later, the woman is said to still have a purple plaster cast covering the full length of her right arm. It's not known what kind of fracture she suffered and what bones were exactly affected in the accident, but it's reported that she's due to remain with her arm in a sling for at least one more month.

Not everyone in Margaret's family was happy with the way things turned out. Her daughter, for example, sent out an angry tweet to Robbie, blasting him on social media, “You fell on my mam and she’s been in hospital with a broken arm. You never even said sorry (sic).”
