The TNT 'A Perfect Day' original movie, for Sony pictures Television and Magna Global Entertainment, has chosen for the leading part the Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actor Rob Lowe.
The movie, based on the novel of Richard Paul Evans, revolves around the story of a writer, Robert Harlin, happy husband and father. All his life is turned upside down when his first book, 'Day', becomes an overnight success and he is confronted, for the very first time, with marital problems.
Things are getting even more complicated as, one day, he meets a stranger who tells him that he has only forty days left to live. It is at that point that he begins to appreciate the small pleasures in life and the important part his family played in his life.
'We couldn't hope for a better actor to bring to the screen this heartwarming drama about one man's journey through self-discovery', Michael Wright, senior vice president at TNT and TBS said. 'A Perfect Day' is scheduled to premiere in December.
Rob Lowe first became known for the parts he played in the NBC drama 'The West Wing' and in the feature film satire 'Thank You For Smoking'.
