Rob Lowe's “Harassed” Nanny Does People Photo Shoot

- Jessica Gibson takes her sexual harassment charges on the celebrity talk show circuit

By: Monica Gaza, Entertainment News Editor

Rob Lowe’s nanny Jessica Gibson is definitely not acting like a discreet, dignified victim of a shameless sexual abuser. Of course, no one expects the 24 year-old to cry on national television, however, her decision
to hire celebrity mouthpiece Gloria Allred - who is notorious for her aggressive behavior and often disregard for decency and common sense - signals that she is willing to turn her alleged private ordeal into a media circus. Her appearance on the "Today" show the day before definitely didn't do her any favors, because as you can see from the clip below, Gibson barely managed to suppress grinning throughout the show. And now, it has just emerged that the grieving victim has booked an exclusive photo shoot with People magazine, which will feature both Gibson and her family in their next issue.

In the meantime, more details of the controversy emerged. It now appears that Jessica Gibson never went to the police with her accusations. She didn't mention anything to her job supervisor, her parents or her friends either - which means that she has been keeping all the details of the alleged abuses to herself ever since she was 17. "Jessica never told me [...] that Rob ever said or did anything that she found inappropriate or offensive or that made her feel uncomfortable [...] or made sexual advances toward her," the supervisor of Lowe's estate claims in an official statement. The estate manager also confirms that Jessica Gibson left her job twice, only to come back and reclaim her position.

Gossip site TMZ claimed that they interviewed at least one of Gibson's former co-workers from one of the intervals in which she had left her position as a nanny. He claims that Gibson bragged about having a "flirty" relationship with Lowe, and only openly complained about her wages - claiming Lowe and his wife owed her between $30,000 and $50,000 in back wages and vacation time. In his turn, Lowe is suing his former nanny for spreading false stories about him, and mentions in his official statement that Jessica often brought men to his house for sex and enjoyed dabbing in drugs from time to time. He also claims she lied to her friends and told them she was having an affair with him. Stay tuned for more updates on this messy affair - coming soon.
