Rob Kardashian on Board New Season of Dancing With the Stars

Earlier this week, word got out that producers of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars would only book A-listers for the new season, but it could be that they’ve just had a change of heart. Rob Kardashian is one of the celebrity contenders, it has emerged.

Some would argue that none of the Kardashians is A-list, though their fans must surely disagree. Rob, however, is perhaps among the lesser known of the lot, mostly because his more famous sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney are always stealing his thunder.

Speaking of which, Rob has been seen more recently on Khloe and Lamar’s reality show. Now, he will be getting even more screen time, TMZ says, citing sources well familiar with the situation.

“Another member of the Kardashian Klan has agreed to compete on the next season of Dancing With the Stars, TMZ has learned... but it ain’t Khloe... or Kourtney... or Kris – it’s a dude!” the e-zine announces.

Having Rob on board is a pretty unexpected decision, since it would have made more sense to ask his sisters, because their appearance would have translated into bigger ratings.

“Multiple sources confirm, Rob Kardashian is officially on board – despite concerns about the Dancing schedule conflicting with Kim’s super MEGA wedding in August,” TMZ further says.

“We’re told the two sides addressed the issue and hammered out a plan – and Rob signed on the dotted line,” the e-zine reports.

Kim and Kris Humphries will be married on August 20 and her brother Rob is expected to be present at all the preparations and, of course, the event itself, because they’re all taped by E! camera crews for the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” reality series.

“Rob will be the 2nd Kardashian to compete on the show – his sister Kim hit the ballroom in 2008... but she was eliminated just 3 weeks in to the competition,” TMZ notes.

Hopefully, Rob will last longer on the show.
