14 DAY TRIAL // Rita Ora was so adamant that there was nothing between her and Jay Z that we're likely to believe her just judging by her stern reaction to the question. The singer has been rumored to have had an illicit love affair with her former label boss, Jay Z, the head of Roc Nation.
Ora was sitting down for an interview with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club when the question popped up, but the “RIP” singer didn't let matters evolve and addressed the rumors head on. “Don't you dare disrespect Beyoncé like that ever again in your entire life,” she said, chastising the host for the question.
She would have us believe that one of the main reasons she would never get into a relationship with Jay Z is because of the huge respect she has for Beyonce. “You should know better than that, that's just straight up disrespect. You can't even go there,” Rita continues.
This should be enough confirmation that Jay Z and Rita Ora have never gotten to know one another in the Biblical sense, but the hosts of the show weren't done with prying questions. They moved on to the other big scandal in the singer's life, her relationship and subsequent breakup from Rob Kardashian, that caused the latter to have a public meltdown on Twitter with a messy rant.
Some of the things he said in his rant weren't in the least bit flattering to Ora, but she's now able to talk about the incident in which she was blamed that she cheated on him.
Rita said on the interview that she thought Rob was “a great dude” but that she was surprised about his Twitter rant, slamming her as a woman of easy virtue.
“It was a bit where I was like, ‘Really, dude?’ But what I think is that people react to things differently and like to express their feelings in certain ways,” Rita claims she acted to the tweets.
“I don't tend to use social media, so when that whole situation happened, silence for me is the biggest form of flattery and I love to just keep it moving unless I need to say something,” she explained her actions at the time.
Not that Rob Kardashian still cares, or Jay Z for that matter. The mogul now has other fish to fry as it was reported this week that a former employee from the label was blackmailing him about some master recordings that are said to be worth in excess of twenty million dollars. The matter is still being investigated by police.
