Developer Tequila Works and publisher Sony are delivering the first official reveal trailer for their upcoming Rime, a game that’s supposed to launch on the PlayStation 4 and which was first mentioned during the Gamescom event.

The video shows a boy with a strange cape moving across sandy beaches and fields filled with crops, climbing over obstacles and battling a number of creatures that attacked form the shadow using a torch.

The graphics have a very clear style and the entire experience seems to be somewhat similar in terms of tone to ICO and Journey, other author driven indie titles that Sony has managed to make successful.

Rime will be launched on the PlayStation 4, but the two companies are not yet saying when the experience will be available or whether it arrives at retail or just via digital distribution.
