14 DAY TRIAL // Saying that Rihanna has caused uproar with her fashion choice at the CFDA Awards when she showed up in a dress that revealed essential bits of her anatomy both north and south of the Equator is an understatement. Even 90-year-old grandmothers, who usually don't know who Rihanna is, lined up to fire off derogatory comments about her.
Most people were shocked that the Bajan singer would choose to wear something so grossly inappropriate to a public event. To give you an idea of how transparent her dress was, we are going to divulge that some of the biggest publications in the world shied away from running the photos, and those who did had a lot of censoring to do.
But since she's a world-famous star, Rihanna isn't worried about the media storm she caused, and today she even seems to be thriving on the scandal, leading many to wonder if this was not a deliberate publicity stunt. It has to be mentioned at this point that many have voiced their concerns that this is Rihanna's way of grabbing attention and headlines, which makes her choice that more damnable.
Poking the hornets' nest that is the transparent dress scandal, Rihanna has posted a photo of herself in the aforementioned dress and next to it, wearing a similar dress, a photo of beloved cartoon character Peter Griffin, from the show “Family Guy.”
The photo was posted on Rihanna's Twitter account with the caption “He gets it!” which would indicate that the rest of the world doesn't actually understand what the singer was going for with her attire.
The animated character was created by Seth Macfarlane, and it's not known how Rihanna came into the possession of him wearing her dress, but most likely, it was Seth himself that drew it up, as a way of mocking the scandal that's taking up the news.
Some of Rihanna's followers, those who weren't busy praising their idol and proclaiming that she could do no wrong, pointed out that Petter actually wore the diamond-studded floor-length gown assorted with a do-rag and a fake fur scarf better than the singer.
Peter's portly figure looks highly comical as it plainly appears from under the transparent dress. We can see that he has nothing underneath except a large pair of skin-colored underwear and stiletto shoes, much like Rihanna.
Too bad that they didn't also draw a picture with Peter from behind, because Rihanna offered quite a view from the back too with her own dress, leaving pretty much nothing to the imagination, as photographers snapped anxiously at her from all sides.
