Presumably to slam Chris Brown

Rihanna has been using the time away from the spotlight to get back in the studio for some new material for her fans, it seems. Not only that, but she also managed to convince another female artist, the controversial but immensely popular Lady GaGa, to join her on “Silly Boy.” The track was just made available via Kanye West’s official blog and, from what fans are saying, it seems to have been written for – or against – Chris Brown.

In all fairness, the track carries a lot of potential as regards chances of becoming a club hit, several music-oriented publications are saying. Yet, whether going for such a drastic change in sounds was really an inspired choice is still up for debate, but most fans state they would rather this was just a one-time thing, an experiment of sorts.

Speaking of experiments, Rihanna seems to be trying her hand at venting her frustration in music, it is being said. “Silly Boy” is, of course, about a guy who has a good girl and can’t keep her, much in the manner of the relationship between Chris Brown and Rihanna when he allegedly made a mess of things by becoming violent towards her – which culminated on the night of the alleged February 8 attack. However, until now, there has been no confirmation concerning the accuracy of this report, namely, that Rihanna wrote this for and about Brown.

Still, fans argue, the lyrics would clearly point in that direction, especially since no one from Rihanna’s camp (not to mention the singer herself) would ever come clean about the identity of the “boy” in the song. “So silly boy get out my face / Why do you like the way regrets taste?/ So silly boy get out my hair my hair / No, I don’t want you no more (get outta here).” Rihanna sings to very Lady GaGa-esque electronic beats.

In other Rihanna and Chris Brown related news, yesterday, he issued an official statement setting the record straight on his involvement in the personal leaked photos scandal, which started this weekend. Brown did not leak photos of Rihanna or of any other celebrity for that matter, a publicist for the singer said in the press statement, so any allegation of the kind is false and “defamatory.”

*Update: Kanye West posted a message from Lady GaGa, saying that's not her on the new Rihanna track.
