The singer goes from very revealing to very covered up

If you ever dreamt about seeing Rihanna in a leather armor like in some sort of role-playing game, then you should have been in Paris yesterday when she launched her new fragrance. Her attire was the complete opposite from the shocking outfit she wore over at the CFDA Awards, in the sense that she went from transparent to opaque.

People who came in expecting to get a peek at the singer's anatomy were very disappointed when she showed up dressed pretty much like a gladiator, albeit with high heels. Her ensemble for the perfume launch was made completely out of gray leather with some gold chain inserts in her top.

The pants, made out of the same fabric were baggy and similar to cargo pants, with the same large pockets on the side. But if her pants were baggy, her top was very tight and tied with two straps around her neck, which was for the best, since she didn't really have a bra underneath (some habits must die hard).

But as Rihanna walked in all smiles at the Sephora event in Paris last night, people were still in uproar over her indecent dress that earned her the 2014 Fashion Icon Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and which was handed to her by Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

The stylist who created the outrageous outfit later commented, “We definitely wanted to make it a little bit scandalous. The dress is just fishnet and crystals and a couple of fingers crossed. But fashion is about beauty, and the [female] body is party of that.”

Judging by the amount of controversy that's been making the rounds in the media in the past days, we'd have to say then that the dress was a complete success. The dress exposed essential bits of the singer's anatomy and many thought that it was a bit inappropriate for the event, as well as a desperate cry for attention.

And just because flaunting her lady parts in front of the cameras wasn't outrageous enough for the Bajan singer, she also posted a video of herself twerking in said outfit, which was all sorts of classy.

This was one of the reasons why her ad for this new fragrance she's putting out was censored since it was deemed too revealing for children that might come across it. Adults on the other hand, didn't seem to mind at all.
