“Diamonds” is produced by Norwegian hitmakers Stargate (“Rude Boy,” “Only Girl (In the World),” “What’s My Name,” “Talk That Talk”) and is the first single off Rihanna’s upcoming, seventh studio album.
Details on the album are yet to be unveiled but, by the looks of it, a possible release date is late 2012, early 2013 at the latest.
RihannaDaily confirms that “Diamonds” will be out on the radio and iTunes this week.
“‘Diamonds’ will make its global premiere on Wednesday, September 26 with an 8:00am launch at radio stations worldwide. An hour later, at 9:00am EST, ‘Diamonds’ will go up for sale at iTunes Music Stores worldwide,” the e-zine says.
In 2013, Rihanna will also be going on tour to promote the new album, her seventh in as many years.
