Just yesterday, Jamaica singer Rihanna celebrated her 26th birthday and, as a celebration of the event, she's now considering of cutting back or even quitting smoking marijuana altogether.

While many doctors and health enthusiasts will say that this is actually the best present she can give herself, sources from inside her entourage have told Hollywoodlife that the singer is now weighing in on her vice and considering the implications it has on her life.

According to sources, Rihanna knows that weed-smoking is “not the healthiest thing for her” which is why she is thinking of cutting back or even quitting cold turkey. “Simply put, she wants to be healthy and happy. She loves blowing fire but said she’s going to drastically cut back or even quit smoking,” says an insider.

Rihanna is doing this to avoid health issues in the future. “She knows she blazes everyday and while it’s not going to kill her, it’s not the healthiest thing for her. So she’s trying to quit a bit. But don’t worry, she’s still going to be sexy with a banging body. She’s just going to feel a lot better,” adds the insider.

Granted, Rihanna does seem to be in very good shape, as she recently posed on the cover of Vogue and the general consensus was that she killed it. But it's hard to think that the sultry Jamaican will be packing on the pounds if and after she quits smoking weed.

This wish to stop smoking could also be linked to the relationship with rapper Drake, 27, which seems to be thriving by all accounts. The two reportedly share a “friends with benefits” kind of relation, but Drake did touch base with Rihanna on her birthday which sparked into a romantic chat.

The insider reveals parts of the discussion, “Drake gave her a shout-out. He hit her up, asked how she’s doing and how she feels on her 26th. She said, ‘I’m good, Pa, thank you and much love to you.’ He didn’t want to keep her too long because he knows she’s enjoying herself with friends.”
