Rihanna is gearing up for the release of her new studio album, “Loud,” out in stores next month. To give fans an idea of what’s in store for them, the video for her first single has just premiered.

“Only Girl (In the World)” premiered on Ryan Seacrest at the beginning of September and marks a clear departure from the sound Rihanna experimented on “Rated R,” her previous album.

As such, it was only to be expected for the image promoted in her videos to do the same: gone are the military tones and the aggressiveness in RiRi’s style, to be replaced by something much sweeter.

Since this is a song about Rihanna urging her man to make her feel so special as if she’s the “only girl in the world,” the video shows just that, as News.com can confirm.

Shot in reddish tones that match the singer’s hair and bubbly personality, the video is filled with flowers, balloons and merry-making, as the saying goes, complimenting the upbeat clubby sound.

Rihanna is seen running through deserted fields, singing at the open vastness before her at the top of her lungs and swinging on a giant swing that seems to be attached to the skies.

Again, a much welcome change from previous video releases is that she’s no longer scowling or looking menacingly into the camera – she now smiles sweetly and closes her eyes as if daydreaming.

“The clip, directed by her long-time collaborator Anthony Mandler, is the first song from the singer;s forthcoming album, Loud,” News.com writes.

“A flame-haired Rihanna dances throughout the clip, first in a scene set against a hilltop as she sports trim white shorts and a matching tank top and headband. Later, the singer lies in a bed of flowers as she belts out the pulsating tune,” the same publication informs.

Since she’s “the only girl in the world,” Rihanna carries the entire video all by herself – and she does a fine job at it, word on the web has it.

The result is a change from her previous look and sound, promising an album similar to pre-“Rated R” releases, which will surely catapult her back at the top of the charts.

Below is the official video for Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In the World).” Enjoy.
