After 2 years of silence, she’s back with new material

Don’t say Rihanna doesn’t know how to kick off a New Year with a bang – for her fans, that is. After an extended hiatus from the music scene, the Barbadian beauty is coming back with a brand new album, and a song that might be included on it is now out.

“World Peace” is the first new track from Rihanna in 2 years, not counting her hit collaborations with Shakira, “Can’t Remember to Forget You,” and with Eminem, “Monster.”

If you consider that before that she used to put out one new album a year – and that she did it for 7 consecutive years –, you will understand why her “army,” her loyal fans, are so excited right now.

So what if “World Peace” is a demo that they might have never gotten, had it not leaked before? So what if it’s not as good as other club anthems she put out, like “We Found Love”? So what if it might not even make it on the album, in a more polished form?

“World Peace” might be a lot of (bad) things, but it’s also confirmation that, in between the chilling, the designing of clothes and the partying with friends, Rihanna is also working on new music. It could also be confirmation of a rumor that started towards the end of last year, that we should expect a brand new album with her name on it in 2015.

The description of the song on Rihanna’s official VEVO, where it was posted after the leak, reads, “New Album #R8 Song 2015 DEMO.” So yes, she is coming back in 2015.
