Rihanna Is One Tough Cookie on 'Battleship' – Behind the Scenes Video

Since she's been basically conquering all the charts ever since she broke on the scene, Rihanna is looking to branch out. She will be making her debut in the May 2012 release, “Battleship.”

As movie buffs must know, “Battleship” is one of the most hyped releases of the year, both because of its huge scope and its impressive cast.

Rihanna plays Raikes in the film, one of the many Navys sent out to eradicate the aliens that are threatening to take over our planet.

In the behind the scenes video, the singer dishes about how she had to take lessons in being a tough cookie from an actual soldier.

“I watched her and I just really lived and breathed in her mindset and tried to really get into her character,” she says.

By the looks of things, she did a pretty good job.
