At the beginning of the week, Rihanna was performing in Switzerland, as part of her international tour. Called The Last Girl on Earth Tour, it kicked off to somewhat lukewarm reviews, with some fans saying the singer did not look all that prepared for it. Another bump in the road came at the beginning of this week, when Rihanna was rushed to the hospital for an injured rib.
Luckily,
People magazine reports, after confirming it with a spokesperson for the singer, she’s doing fine and the tour dates will not be altered in any way. Rihanna was rushed to the hospital at midnight on Monday and spent 3 hours in the emergency room.
She was then released after receiving treatment for an injured rib – and will resume touring as soon as possible, according to the schedule
announced in December last year.
“Rihanna is feeling fine after being briefly hospitalized Monday night. The singer, 22, who was taken to a private clinic after performing a concert in Zurich, Switzerland, ‘had an injured rib and went to have it looked at to be sure it was nothing serious, and it wasn’t,’ her rep tells People. Rihanna continued the European leg of her Last Girl on Earth tour Tuesday night with a concert in Lyon, France, and is expected to play in Marseille on Wednesday, according to reports,” People magazine writes.
“All is okay and the tour is going great,” the singer’s rep further says for the same publication. Fans in the US too will see Rihanna live on stage, hopefully without any nightly visits to the emergency room. The “Rude Boy” star is set to kick off the North American leg of the tour in July, with pop star Ke$ha as the opening act, as it was announced a short while ago. It will include 25 dates.
