14 DAY TRIAL // With Rihanna, it’s nearly impossible to keep track of the changes she makes to her hair but, whenever she does something drastic, she’s bound to make headlines. On this note, she’s opted for blonde for the coming summer.
Attached is a photo Rihanna posted on her Instagram and Twitter, with the caption, “I woke up in a new....weave!”
Clearly, she’s ditched her previous color and has opted for a much lighter shade, but she’s keeping the hair extensions and the shaved on one side ‘do.
The Daily Mail has photos of Rihanna after the makeover, out and about with a friend. She looks as gorgeous as ever but her face has more of a Barbie quality now with the blonde hair.
The photos also reveal that she has darker highlights underneath, for an extra touch of coolness.
A couple of days before Rihanna unveiled her new look online, she was photographed with a blonde bob cut, which Hollywood Life says it was a wig but was most probably her natural hair, dyed fresh, before the extensions were put in.
An insider told the e-zine (as cited by EntertainmentWise) that the change wasn’t a classic case of “breakup hair,” but rather Rihanna being her glamorous self.
The spy is clearly referring to the pop star’s recent breakup from Chris Brown.
“It’s all about her and how [expletive]-ing fabulous and fierce she is and wants to be,” the insider explains.
“She’s just changing things up a bit. It’s just fun,” adds the tipster.
Indeed, Rihanna’s style in recent years had been best described by the words “change,” “experiment” and “fun.”
In terms of hairstyling, she’s tried pretty much everything, from very long to very shot, blonde to black and red, starting new trends and offering inspiration for new ‘dos to her millions of fans from all over the world.
