14 DAY TRIAL // Two years year after Chris Brown put Rihanna in hospital in a fit of rage, she was “hooking up” with him in secret again, even though he had a steady girlfriend. She eventually got tired of the whole “love triangle” thing and ended it with Chris, says a new report.
Reports claim that Chris and Rihanna got together for about a year, even though, all this time, he was also seeing model Karrueche Tran, his official girlfriend.
The only reason that Rihanna ever agreed to have Chris back in her life again, says a new report in Hollywood Life, was because she was convinced he would dump Tran to be with her again.
It took her about a year, if not actually more, to realize that this would never happen. In the meantime, Chris was hoping he could continue dating both indefinitely.
“Chris was not willing to end his relationship with Karrueche, even though he made Rihanna believe that he was still madly in love with her,” an unnamed spy says for Hollywood Life.
“Chris is the one who initially reached out to Rihanna begging for her forgiveness. He was incredibly sweet to Rihanna at the beginning, telling her how much he missed her, how Karrueche could not even compare to her, how he wanted to make things work,” the insider explains.
In time, Rihanna started to wonder how come Chris was still with Karrueche when she'd gone back to him and was obviously determined to forget about everything – and defy everyone – to be a couple again.
“Rihanna would have gone back to Chris, but once she realized that he still had so many anger issues and that he was never planning on leaving Karrueche, she pulled the plug on the relationship. Chris basically wanted to have his cake and eat it too,” the insider explains.
“When Rihanna finally told him that she was going to start seeing other people if he wouldn’t commit, Chris freaked out and started acting out. His ego just took over and […] he released that song about Rihanna sleeping around,” the source further says.
Chris has already denied that the song in question was about Rihanna but she's not buying it. After this, she unfollowed him on Twitter and he did the same.
By the looks of things, it's just now, 3 years after they “officially” ended their romance, that they are over each other.
