Rihanna Announces New Single

Though she said she would be taking the year off from music to focus on her acting career, Rihanna is keeping extremely busy: fans should get ready for the release of a brand new single this week.

In an interview before the iHeartRadio Music Festival over the weekend, Rihanna confirmed the excellent news.

The single is called “Diamonds” and will premiere this Wednesday, says Rihanna in the video above.

Reports online say that the star is getting ready for the release of her seventh studio album in as many years but, for the time being, there’s no estimated date attached to it.

Should “Diamonds” be included on the cut, it will offer, once out, a first taste at the new material Rihanna has been recording.
