Now this is really news. Good news actually, but it's also a bit frustrating and annoying to discover that the Barbadian beauty is actually dating someone. Someone other than Jay-Z. Well, the cat's out of the bag, folks - and I can make a full confession now, and admit that I was sort of expecting a major league scandal between the top rapper's girl Beyonce and his protegee, Rihanna, who's just as hot as Beyonce only a lot younger and with slightly more punch. Not to mention the fabulous career, the top selling albums and all that. But it looks like I was wrong - or maybe we do have to wait a little longer to get our kicks, because at the moment, looks like Rihanna's found a cool guy to be with.
And the lucky guy is...none other than wonder boy "Disturbia" star actor Shia LeBoeuf (gotta make sure I spell the name right), whose future appearance in the fourth Indiana Jones movie is already making fans bite their fingernails. I have to admit, I didn't know much about this guy except what I've deduced from for seeing him act - shame on me - but he sure looks like he could make a nice pair for the hot 19-year old. He's independent, funny and a good actor.
What's interesting though is that, not so long ago, Rihanna was candidly telling the world how manager Jay-Z screens all her prospective boyfriends. "I just found out from a mutual friend that guys will talk to Jay first before they try to approach me", she said. "He's very protective. Jay has my best interests in mind. If it's a good guy I know Jay won't shut him down. But if he's not, Jay will be like, 'No, no, no.' He actually never tells me [who approaches him]. I have no clue who they are and I guess I'll never know". In the same interview, she also mentioned liking "tall guys who have a sense of humor, love to laugh, have a good time and good conversation" and sort of gave Jay-Z a hint that she wanted someone to get the green light and put the moves on her. Careful what you wish for.
I don't know much about the tall, handsome thing, but I do wonder how Jay-Z makes sure the poor dudes have "good conversation". I mean, this whole filtering boyfriends thing was pretty weird from the beginning, and my money were on the fact that he was in fact trying to keep guys away from Rihanna and was in fact keeping the hot beauty for himself, even though that would have meant dumping Beyonce in the process. I was actually rooting for that - stranger things are known to have happened, plus it would have made for some nice headlines. But I do wonder if LeBoeuf made it through the screening process by proving his conversational skills to Jay-Z. Now that would have been fun to watch. Well, I really hope it works out for them - and I'm very curious what's going to happen next.
