The developers at Trion Worlds have labeled a number of their servers for the MMO Rift as Trial, telling the player base that they are planning to use them in order to try out a number of gameplay and content changes that might then be extended to the full game.

The list of the new Trial servers includes: Belmont, Galena, Atrophinius, Crucia, Alsbeth, Estrael, Shadefallen, Sunrest, Freeholme, Dayblind and Faemyst.

The servers will not be closed down and the company has specifically chosen the servers that have the lowest population in order to affect as little of the overall game world as possible.

Those who like the current game experience and would like to keep it intact can choose to switch to a new server, one with a bigger population.

At the moment Trion Worlds is also working on a strategy MMO called End of Nations, which should be launched during 2012.
