Developer and publisher Trion Worlds has announced that it has plans to introduce three way Players versus Player zones in its Rift MMO and that all gamers who are interested in shaping this feature can take a look at how it works on the public testing server and then offer feedback on the official forums for the game.

The expectation from players would be that Trion Worlds is introducing a new faction to Rift, but the company has no plans to alter the duality of the MMO.

Instead it is allowing players from both included factions to join up in order to form the third one, giving former enemies a player to see how they can work together and then mix their abilities.

Rift was officially launched in March of last year and received the most recent official update, 1.7, during February of this year.

Rift is still using the subscription system although it allows players to get up to level 20 for free to see if the mechanics suit them.
