Tips and Tricks for the perfect race driver

We're dealing with a launch title here and as such it must be a hit, especially if we're talking about one of the greatest racing series ever. Competing with great names like Gran Turismo or Need For Speed, Ridge Racer manages to deliver quality gameplay and crazy races, wrapped up in neat graphics and a great soundtrack. You'll drive up to 40 cars, on 22 different tracks, either in their normal version of the reversed one. Check out some unlockable content

and some hints below if you want to get the max out of Ridge Racer 7:

Unlockable

10 and 20% Discount and Special Age Machine
You must collect 100 Manufacturer Points from Age.

Hint - Defeat Crinale Easily
Use the following car and parts to beat the Crinale:

Soldat Raggio - Machine Class 1

Engine - Druaga

Nitrous - General Resource - Normal Charge

Tires/Suspension - Astaroth - Grip 2

Plug in - Slipstream Booster (unlocked by getting 100Manufacturer points from Dig Dug)

Even with these settings, beating the Crinale can be extremely difficult unless you master the ultimate charge technique. Learn where he uses his Nitrous, don't worry about what level of charge it is. You should be fine with 1 until the end.

Coming around the final few corners, hit it with a double Nitro or triple Nitro boost depending on how many tanks you have filled. Get around him, and you've got him. I finished him off in about 3 tries with these settings. Good luck!

Other Tips
Make sure you know the best ultimate charge points for Seaside Route 765 R before challenging Devil, you have to handle absolutely PERFECT in order to beat him. When racing him, watch when he uses his Nitrous boosts, don't worry about the level of charge that he uses (sometimes he will throw out a double or triple). You should be fine with 1 on each straight. On the final lap when you get to the last 5 corners, depending on what you managed to charge up by this point, hit him with a double or triple nitrous. On the last corner should be your passing point. Get around him, and you should win. If things look bad, block him like crazy.

Using this strategy I managed to clear this race in 3 tries. The key in this race is Ultimate charge and perfect handling.
