The last few days were filled with news about Fujifilm's weather-sealed X-T1 as well as Olympus' newly introduced camera models, the entry-level E-M10 mirrorless camera, E-M5 Black Elite edition, SP-100 50x superzoom, and Stylus Tough TG-850.

With CP+ around the corner, fresh rumors are starting to circulate about Ricoh's plans to announce a new K-60 DSLR model at the upcoming event in Yokohama, Japan.

According to Japanese forum Xitek, a new source has revealed that the upcoming Pentax K-60 digital SLR camera will feature a 24MP APS-C CMOS image sensor without an LPF (Low Pass Filter) and the PRIME III image processor that currently powers the Pentax K-3 model.

In addition to that, the Pentax K-60 is rumored to come with 11 AF points, three of which support -3EV AF capability, a 29k-pixel RGB metering system, and 100k shutter life cycle.

At the same time, the new model will have a lightweight weather-sealed body, a pentaprism optical viewfinder with 100% coverage, as well as Wi-Fi and NFC support. Pentax K-60 will be available in multiple colors, at an estimated retail price of $699 / €512.

Along with the new DSLR, the company is also rumored to reveal two new weather-sealed lenses: the HD Pentax-DA 135-380mm f/4-5.6 ED [IF] DC WR and HD Pentax-DA 18-70mm f/2.8-4.5 AL [IF] DC WR.
