Ricky Martin Steps Out with Rarely Seen Boyfriend Carlos Gonzalez

Since coming out in March last year, Ricky Martin has been a bit more open about his personal life, though he still strives to keep the focus on his music and not on the juicy details from behind closed doors. This is why recent pictures of him and boyfriend Carlos Gonzalez are newsworthy.

Fans must know that, before coming out in a very touching blog post on his official website, Martin had been plagued by rumors and speculation on his orientation for years.

However, it would be another few months until he revealed the identity of his boyfriend, a man in whom he values the most the love he feels for his (Ricky’s) two children.

Over the weekend, the singer whisked Carlos Gonzalez for a romantic, albeit very short, holiday in Sardinia – and the Daily Mail has the photos to prove it.

“Only 18 hrs in Sardinia. I had to jump in ocean!” Ricky wrote on his official Twitter page, as cited by the aforementioned British tab.

“The loved-up couple stayed at the luxurious Hotel Cala di Volpe during their brief stay on the Mediterranean,” says the Mail.

They would have probably passed unnoticed had they not stopped to take pictures for the fans, the same publication speculates.

However, there’s no denying they look extremely happy together.

Just recently, on a VH1 Behind the Music special, Ricky Martin spoke a bit about his relationship with Gonzalez, saying he was perfectly happy with life and that the four of them formed a wonderful family.

“My boyfriend is very smart, very compassionate. But most importantly, he loves my children,” Martin said, as cited by the Mail. Matteo and Valentino, his children, were born by surrogate mother.

Speaking of the relationship, which he doesn’t have to hide from the world anymore, the singer said, “It is very beautiful. Super cool. I’m very happy.”
