Latin singer Ricky Martin praised the Indian government efforts to stop child trafficking and revealed he considers adopting a child sometime in the future.
Martin was in Scotland, fighting against the trafficking of children into slavery and prostitution, and declared he sponsors four girls in India.
He says: "Because of trafficking, the adoption of children to foreigners is not legal in India. They control adoption because of the fear of child trafficking, which I think is brilliant of the Indian government.
But why not? Maybe some day I will adopt a child."
The singer has also confessed he joined this program because he was tired of "living la vida loca". "The crazy thing is nobody else could tell that I was bored. Everybody thought I was having a great time," says Martin, quoted by the Scottish Daily Record.
"I was really concerned about that. I thought, wait a minute; I'm faking my emotion. Everything had become automatic and false," Ricky added.
