The comedian wants high officials to cancel the shark slaughter

Western Australia is very much convinced that it can reduce the number of people attacked by sharks in its waters by killing a few of these animals.

As was to be expected, conservationists do not exactly approve of its planned shark cull, and, apparently, neither does Ricky Gervais.

The picture above hit social media just recently, and it speaks loads about what the comedian thinks about Western Australia's plan to catch and butcher sharks that make the mistake of coming a tad too close to its shoreline.

“To the government of Western Australia – Listen to Facts, Listen to Science, Listen to Reason – Stop the Shark Cull,” reads the sign held up by Ricky Gervais in this photo.

According to The Guardian, greenheads who want to have the shark cull canceled plan to protest this initiative openly and in a fairly organized manner this coming February 1.

At that time, they are to stage a rally, so stay tuned for more information.
