14 DAY TRIAL // Comedian Ricky Gervais is quite busy these days. Apart from trying to save baboons in Kenya from being experimented on by scientists, he is helping pooches and felines living at the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home have a joyful holiday season.
The London-based animal shelter had been looking after dogs and cats in need since 1860. Thus, it is the oldest and most famous animal rescue center in the United Kingdom.
This Christmas, staff at the sanctuary are asking that people consider helping them buy toys, food and blankets for the animals in their care.
Hoping to get more folks to donate, comedian Ricky Gervais posted the following message on Twitter: “Can you help make Christmas morning magical for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home cats & canines?”
His message was accompanied by a link to the animal rescue center's holiday season wish list, Ecorazzi tells us.
Here's hoping that Ricky Gervais' fans and Twitter followers will take the comedian's advice, and make a small donation to the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
